ANSWER:-

HAEMOPHILIA:-

☘ Haemophilia was discovered by John Cotto.

☘ The factor responsible for blood clotting is anti-haemophilic globules.

☘ They are absent in the blood of individual suffering from haemophilia.

☘ It is an example of Sex Linked Mendelian Hereditary Disease.

☘ The gene responsible for haemophilia is located on X chromosome.

☘ The haemophilia is crossed by a recessive gene 'h'.

☘ Normal clotting is due to the dominant gene 'H'.

☘ Females have two X chromosome.

Homozygous dominant females are normal.

☘ Heterozygous females will not be affected by haemophilia or they are normal.

Heterozygous females transmits haemophilia to their son, so they are called as carriers.

☘ Homozygous recessive females will be haemophilic.
