Soft water: is treated water in which the only ion is sodium.

Hard water: water that contains an dissolved salts and minerals and thus doesnot lathers with soap . It contains magnesium and calcium bicarbonates .

Soft water: it contains only sodium ion and can easily lather with soap to form foam .
