Explanation:

How blood flows through the heart. A network of blood vessels carry blood around the body. Arteries transport oxygen-rich blood to all parts of the body, and veins return oxygen-poor blood to the lungs. At the centre of this process is the heart, which acts as a pump.

What is heart?

→The heart is a pump, usually beating about 60 to 100 times per minute. With each heartbeat, the heart sends blood throughout our bodies, carrying oxygen to every cell. After delivering the oxygen, the blood returns to the heart. The heart then sends the blood to the lungs to pick up more oxygen.

Work of heart.

→The right side of your heart receives oxygen-poor blood from your veins and pumps it to your lungs, where it picks up oxygen and gets rid of carbon dioxide. The left side of your heart receives oxygen-rich blood from your lungs and pumps it through your arteries to the rest of your body.
