Heat is nothing but it is formed by the sun that is above the sky in the space. The sun's heat would be very high but we get it low because of our ozone layer on earth.

We need heat for different purpose that for cooking, for vitamin D. For bathing with hot water etc.

No one without heat didn't survive. But also there are different types of heat and very dangerous also.
