What is Henry's law ?

Henry's law states the solubility of a gas in a liquid at a given temperature.

And the mass of gas that gets dissolved in a given mass of the solvent at any temperature is proportional to the pressure of the gas above the surface of the liquid.

Limitations of Henry's law are :-

1. This law is applicable only to gases at ideal conditions such as low pressure and high temperature.

2. Molecules of gases should not get dissociated or associated in the solution.

3. Gases should not react chemically with the solvent to form a compound.
