When reactants and products are present in two or more than two phases, it is called heterogeneous equilibrium.

For e.g. CaCo3(s) = CaO(s) + CO2

For better understanding- if we take a container with ice and water at a temperature that is allowing the existence of both phase simultaneously, such that , both ice and water are present in a state of equilibrium. This state is called heterogenous equilibrium.
