The mode of nutrition in which organisms depend on other organisms for proquiring food is called hetrotrophinc nutrition

lt is derived from the words of
HETRO(other/different) +TROPHIC(nourishment )

The organisms which depend on othr organisms for food r called hetrotrophs.eg human brings ,amoeba.

hetrotrophic mode of nutrition itself is of three types:

#parasytic(taking food from body of othr organisms(host))
eg.lice

#saprophytic(depending on dead and decayed organisms )
eg.fungi

#holozoic(a complex mode of nutrition)
eg.human beings and amoeba
