Hibernation:

  • Hibernation are deep sleep in winter which are exhibited by certain animals. When the winter is about to come, it becomes difficult for certain animals to found adequate nutrition and to maintain homeostasis in such cold conditions. Hence before winter they gather as much as possible.
  • They eat it and go to warmer places where they fall asleep. They wake up once the winter is over.
  • This helps the animal to fight with the intense cold and also with the scarcity of the nutrition. It is exhibited by bears.
