HOLOGAMY:

Hologamy is defined as the process of sexual reproduction where the fusing gametes are of same size and shape as the somatic cells, so you can’t differentiate between the gametes and the somatic cells.  Hologamy is seen in very lower algae which are very uncommon. They look alike. Just they are haploid in nature.

Gametes are haploid cells, i.e. Having a single set of chromosomes instead of dual set, which are produced by the organisms so that they can fuse and give rise to the next generation.
