Homogeneous mixture is the mixture which is stable and cannot me separated using physical methods like filtration. Eg - salt and water solution, sugar and water solution, etc.

Heterogeneous mixture is the mixture which is unstable and can be separated using filtration or other physical methods. It shows tyndall effect. Eg - chalk powder and water, oil and water.etc

2.These are pure substances.

3.These are called solutions.

Ex:milk, fog etc...

Heterogeneous mixture :

1.Heterogeneous mixture has components in which proportions vary throughout the sample.

2.These are not pure substances.

3.These are called suspensions.

Ex:mud, vinegar etc...
