A “Homogenous Society” is a society where most of the people talk the same language, share the same kind of ethnicity, cultural values, and religious beliefs and systems.

Homogenous society can be of different types.

1.       The Japanese are said to live in a homogenous society since they all share the same ethnicity.

2.       Indians are a homogenous society since they share similar cultural values.

3.       Communists are a homogenous society since they share a similar belief in the political field.

It is difficult to have a society with complete homogeneity. However, a few best examples are:

The Japanese society, the Chinese society, a few tribe groups in Africa namely the Zulu tribe in South Africa and the Yoruba tribe in Nigeria, the Native Americans or the Red Indians in the U.S.

Citizens select a representative for making an important decisions on their behalf are called representative democracy.

We need representative democracy because many people think that "direct democracy" cannot work for national and local voting apathy directly in the hands of those who are most affected.

This system, however, has its own problem, especially practical and self-interest, and may not even effectively address the political issues that many of its supporters believe it will solve.
