Hormones are the chemical substances produced by ductless glands called endocrine glands such as thyroid, adrenals etc. They find their way into the blood steam and influence and regulate the functions of the other organs of the body. Hormones deficiency leads to specific biological disorders which can be cured by the administration of the specific hormones.
