Hormones are chemical substances released by endocrine and exocrine glands which help in the growth control and coordination of the life processes of the organism.

Male reproductive organ ( testis )produce hormone testosterone which helps in the formation of sperms which are very important for sexual reproduction as they are the gametes.
and similarly in females it's progesterone that helps in maturing the follicle into egg (ovum) in the ovaries for further fertilisation if copulation occurs.

         Hormones are made inside the body of an organisms in very small amounts. Hormones are secreted by glands in the endocrine system to help the body stay balanced and function optimally.
