human development index is actually a statistic which is a composite of index of education , lifespan ,and per capita income.

HDI is an important concept in the field of economics n progress of a country.HDI of iceland is 0.878 the highest .. n India stands in 0.688. which is quitr impressive

in it more importance is given to facilities of clean drinking water ,food education and other healthy habits etc .therefore as an alternative for per capita income in national income more importance is given to human development .
