here is ur answer
the human genome project is an international scientific research project which is based on the exploration and analysis of human genome. it was originally founded by the U.S. DEPARTMENT of ENERGY and the NATIONAL INSTITUTES of HEALTH in 1909. they have established NATIONAL HUMAN GENOME research institute , who has completed this task in 2003 , James D. Watson was appointed as first director of this institute but at the time of completion of the project , the institute was being led by Dr .francis Collin .
although this project was initially funded by the U.S. government but later on Welcome Trust (U.K.) become a major partner , additional contributions came from Japan , France , Germany , China and others.
MAJOR FOALS OF HUMAN GENOME PROJECT:
1. identify all approximately 20,000-25,000 genes in human DNA
2. determine the sequence of the billions chemical base pairs that make up human DNA
3. store this information in databases
4.improve tools for data analysis
5. transfer related technologies to the private sector
6. address the ethical , legal ,social issues that may arise from the project.
hope it will help u if u like it then mark as brainliedt
