Physiology:- The study of body functions is called as Physiology .
Human Physiology:- The study of human body functions is called as Human Physiology.
There are 7 subunits under human physiology:
▪️Digestion and Absorption.
▪️Breathing and Exchange of Gases.
▪️Body Fluids and Circulation.
▪️Excretory Products and their Elimination
▪️Locomotion and Movement
▪️Neutral Control and Coordination
▪️Chemical Coordination and Integration.
DIGESTION AND ABSORPTION:
Digestion: The process of breaking down of complex food molecules into simple food molecules by the action of alimentary canal and enzymes is called as Digestion.
Absorption: It is a process by which the end products of digestion pass through the intestine mucosa into the blood or lymph.
