Humus is the organic compound of soil which is formed by the decomposition of leaves , some organisms and other plant material by soil microorganisms . It provides nutrients to the soil.

Uses:

Increases soil fertility and soil digestion. Increases microbial activity and organic matter content of soil. Provides high humus levels. Suppresses weed growth. Improves buffering capacity (neutralizes pH in the soil).
