When two parents who are homozygous for contrasting form of genes are reproduced, there will be remarkable increase in the heterozygosity in the resultant offsprings, this type of breeding system is known as hybridization. The word hybridization is used as the resultant offsprings are hybrid( heterozygous) .The offsprings produced by hybridization are more superior than either of their parent in terms of the production performance. 3. The hybrid orbitals and more effective in forming stable bonds than the pure atomic orbitals .

4. These hybrid orbitals are directed in space in some preferred direction to have minimum repulsion between electron pairs and thus a stable arrangement is obtained. Therefore , the type of hybridization indicates the geometry of the molecules .
