hyrogenation is a chemical reaction between molecular hydrogen and another compound and element ;usually in the presence of a catalyst such as nickel ; palladium or platinum.

hydrogenation is a process which involve addition of hydrogen to an unsaturated compound to make it saturated.
this reaction is catalysed by nickel or palladium.
this process is used to convert vegetable oil into vegetable ghee.
