Well, That's a great question! This concept is becoming popular all over the world, because due to less availability of land, Plants are not being grown in populated places like metropolitan cities, instead we can practice the Hydroponics.

As the name says, Hydroponics means the growing of plants in soil without water. Yeah! That's possible because plants grow in soil only for getting water and nutrients. This can be also done by growing the plants in nutrient rich solution. This might sound little weird!, But it's true because the tomatoes and other horticultural crops are generally grown hydrophonically. Wait, let me explain that why Hydroponics is possible in a brief way?!

This phenomenon is based on a simple concept. We all know that plants perform photosynthesis by using raw materials that are Carbon dioxide and water, and convert it into organic substances like glucose and liberate oxygen. This will can also be expressed in terms of word equation:
