hypermetropia refers to long-sightedness .

a hypermetropic person couldn't look at the nearby objects clearly , but far objects can be seen very clearly.

this defect can be corrected by using a proper convex lens .

Hypermetropia:A person suffering from the defect can see distant can see distant objects clearly but cannot see nearby objects clearly. In this defect, the near point lies farther away than 25 cm.
