another term for hyperopia.(Farsighted)Both Myopia (short-sightedness) and Hypermetropia (long-sightedness) are common eye conditions that are occur when light does not focus on the retina of the eye. Both conditions are easily corrected using prescription glasses or contact lenses or in mild cases by laser eye surgery. MYOPIA

Heyyy!!!!

So, HYPERMETROPIA is a situation where a person can see the distant objects clearly but cannot see the nearby objects so clearly.

For such defective eye, the image of the nearby object(N) is formed behind the retina and not on the retina itself.
Therefore, the image of the nearby object appears blurred

#Cause of long sightedness (HYPERMETROPIA) :-
(1) The eye ball becomes too short (i.e the distance of retina from the eye lens decreases)
(2) The focal length of the eye lens is too large (i.e. does not reduce sufficiently to accommodate the near point N).

#Correctness:-
This defect can be corrected by using a convex Lens ( converging) of appropriate focal length or power.

Hope this helps you dear friend !!!!

Mark as brainlist if you think so ✌
