A person with hypermetropia can see distant objects clearly but cannot see objects at near distances. This is also known as ’far sightedness’. This can be corrected by using a convex lens of suitable focal length.

Hypermetropia

Explanation:

  • Hypermetropia is vision condition where the person is said to have long sight
  • The Person having  hypermetropia  would be able to only the object at the long distance.
  • Seeing clearly the object nearer to them will be a challenge.
  • This hypermetropia creates headaches or eye strain and may squint or feel fatigued when performing work at close range.
  • This Vision condition is due to the small size of the eye ball.
  • This can be cured by using glasses or spectacles that can change that way in which the light rays bend.
  • These spectacles or contact lenses are made up of lenses which are 'plus' or convex in shape.
