Hyperopia Causes

When you're farsighted, the light rays don't focus the way they should. The cornea, the clear outer layer of your eye, and the lens focus images directly on the surface of your retina, which lines the back of your eye.

Hypermetropia, sometimes called hyperopia, is the term used to define being longsighted. If you are hypermetropic, the image of a nearby object is formed behind the retina. This means that light is focused too far back in the eye, causing things that are close up to appear blurred.
