In the test of significance when we want to see if there is any effect of treatment on the result, we assume a hypothesis.In Null hypothesis, we assume there is no significant difference in result because of treatment. In Alternative hypothesis, we assume that there is significant difference in result because of treatment.Such the assumption is termed as hypothesis. Variable:-The characteristic that can take any value that is liable to vary is called variable. For example height of students in a class, milk yield of cows at a dairy farm.etc.
