DEAR STUDENT,
A hypotonic solution has a lower osmotic pressure than another solution. as v know water moves from higher concentration to lower concentration due to osmotic pressure.HENCE here water diffuses into the cell, and the cell often appears turgid, or bloated.
HOPE IT HELPED............PLS DO MARK IT AS BRAINLIEST

A HYPOTONIC SOLUTION IS THAT TYPE OF SOLUTION IN WHICH CONCENTRATION OF SOLUTES IS GREATER INSIDE THE CELL THAN OUTSIDE OR A SOLUTION HAVING LESS OSMOTIC PRESSURE THAN ANOTHER SOLUTION. IF A CELL IS PLACED IN HYPOTONIC SOLUTION IT GAINS SOLUTE i.e. BECOMES SWOLLEN.....
IF HELPFUL TO U THEN MARK IT BRAINLIEST ☺
