I)authentication- the process or action of proving or showing something to be true, genuine or valid.

2) Authorisation- the act of authorizing.

Authorisation and authentication- They both sound similar but they are distinct security processes in the world of identity and access management(IAM).

Authentication confirms users are who they say they are.

Authorisation gives those users permission to access a resource.
