Answer:

Coal  burns at about 3,590°F (1,977°C) and  Calorific value of coal=7.86 kcal/gm

Explanation:

Calorific value: It is equal to the heat produced by burning one gram of fuel. Its unit is Kilocalorie/gm. Example:

C + O2 ——> CO2 + 94.3 kcal

12 gram carbon on burning gives = 94.3 kcal 1 gram of carbon on burning gives =94.3/12 calorific value of C = 7.86 kcal/gm.

Answer:

before a substance catches fire and starts burn it must be heated to a certain minimum temperature by supplying heat. the lowest temperature at which the substance catches fire and starts burning is called its ignition temperature. A combustible substance cannot catch fire if its temperature is lower than its ignition temperature
