Human poverty is a concept that goes beyond the limited view of poverty as lack of income. It refers to the denial of political, social and economic opportunities to an individual to maintain a “reasonable” standard of living. Illiteracy, lack of job opportunities, lack of access to proper healthcare and sanitation, caste and gender discrimination, etc., are all components of human poverty

Illiteracy is the lack of basic education which causes an inability to read or write.

This illiteracy is one of the biggest social problems of the developing countries because an illiterate population cannot participate in the development works for the nation.

For this reason many organisations are working to prevent the illiteracy in the global scale,in order to develop the whole human society.
