Answer:
Impeachment is the process by which a legislative body levels charges against a government official. Impeachment does not in itself remove the official definitively from office; it is similar to an indictment in criminal law, and thus it is essentially the statement of charges against the official.
The process is started by a two-thirds majority vote of the Parliament to impeach the president, whereupon the Constitutional Court decides whether the President is guilty of the crime of which he is charged. If he is found guilty, he is removed from power.
Only way to remove the Prime Minister is by passing a vote of no -confidence in the council of minister in the house by a simple majority by the members present in the house and voting.
: A Governor can remove a chief Minister from his or her post ONLY, if the latter had lost the confidence of the Majority of the Legislative assembly.
If Majority of the legislators of the Legislative assembly meets the governor and submit a petition asking him or her to remove the chief minister ,then the Governor directs the chief minister to prove his or her majority in the floor of the legislative assembly.
If the chief minister is not able to prove his or her government’s majority in the floor of the assembly, then he or she has to vacate the office of the chief minister till another person takes oath as the chief Minister.
