Implantation is the phenomenon of attachment of developing embryo within the uterus. It leads to the state of pregnancy. The uterus continues to develop to take care of the developing embryo.

The fertilized egg soon starts dividing into 2, 4, 6, 8, 16 and so on, by the time it reaches the uterus, it has already formed a small hollow ball of numerous cells. This process is called blastocyst.

The full term of the complete development of an embryo in the uterus. This is called Gestation. Its period is 280 days in human females.

The phenomenon of delivery of a baby which occurs due to the vigorous contractions of the uterus at the end of pregnancy is called Parturition.

Hope this helps you.
