Implantation is the process by which the zygote attaches to the uterus for development.
It occurs at uterus.
The structure involved is placenta which is a disc shaped tissue with numerous villi.
Its main function is
To transport oxygen and glucose from mother to foetus.
To transport excretary products from baby to mother's blood.

after fertilization the zygote is embedded on the thick lining of uterus is called implantation and after implantation , a disk like tissue originated from the embryo to mother's body
which provides nutrition , respiration & excretion to the embryo.
