Importance of transpiration are :

1.Transpiration helps to absorption of water and its conduction different parts of plants.

2.Helps in receiving water and inorganic salts. So, transpiration indirectly helps in receiving mineral salts

3.The excess water absorbed by the root is given off from the plant body and thus a balance of water in the plant body is made.

4.A suction force is created due to transpiration. In case of tall plants, suction force helps in the upward rising of water.

5.Transpiration plays a key role in the production of foods and different chemicals by malting a continuous supply of water to leaves.

6.Due to transpiration certain hydrophilic salts may be stored on the leaf surface which keeps the loaf moist and sometimes reset the fungal infection.

7.Optimum transpiration helps in physical growth of plants.

8.For cell division turgidity of the cell are required. Transposition indirectly keeps the cells turgid and helps in the cell division.
