now impulse=force ×time
=f×t
=ma×t
=m delta v/t×t
=m delta v
=m(v-u)
=mv-mu
ie impulse is equal to change in their linear momentum.

product of force into time is called impulse.

impulse=ma*t

but a=v-u/t

therefore,m(v-u/t)*t

-- mv-mu/t*t

= mv-mu

hence proved.
