An independent judiciary means a justice system that is not influenced by either the legislative or executive branch. It is free to make decisions based upon law, not upon men or pressure from other groups.
Judiciary, is independent of other influences like from the legislature or executive or from the government itself.

That’s why everyone says, “Lets meet in COURT”. The only place where even the government is held guilty for its wrongdoing and so the common people and so the rich and the poor.

There are vast powers of the Judiciary, but that doesn’t mean it is unlimited. It can only pass orders within the ambit of laws.

Hence it is independent in its existence but bound by the laws.

<b>Independent of judiciary means that it is not under the control of the legislature or the executive.

The judges donot act on the direction of the government or accordingto the wishes of the party in power.

This is why all modern democracies have courts that are independent of the legislature and the executive.
