Answer:

lndicators derived from natural sources are called natural indicators. eg:- Litmus , red cabbage , turmeric , china rose petals etc.. lndicators prepared in laboratary are callwd synthetic indicators. lndicators which give different odours in acidic and basic medium.Although they may all be used for pH detection they are not all suitable for the same purpose.
