1.Social discrimination : Social discrimination of certain communities does not let them access the benefits of economic growth, this make them lag behind in the economic development.2.Illiteracy and lack of access to education : High level of illiteracy in India and lack of access to educational opportunities leaves a lot of population unskilled and lack of skills does not let illiterate people earn a good living.3.Globalisation : Globalisation hasled to the increase in gap between poor and rich as only the rich people with existing resources has been able to take benefit out of it and people withless resources are left behind.4.Increasing Unemployment : Due to increase in population and lack of new job opportunity in the economy , more and more people are becoming unemployed. Unemployment leads to increase inequality between employed and unemployed.5.Access to agricultural resources : Farmers with large land holdings and economic resources were able to benefit from development like green revolution but farmers with lessland holding were not able to drive benefit out of as they couldn't access resources like hybrid seeds etc making them more poor compare to rich farmers.
