Inert elements are elements that have a perfect octet/doublet in their electronic configuration I.e. their outer shell is completely filled. This reduces their reactivity to a great extent as they don’t need to gain or lose electrons to attain stability (as they are already stable) hence they are known as “inert”
Examples -
1) Neon (E.C - 2,8)
2) Helium (E.C - 2)
3)Argon (E.C - 2,8,8)
Hope this helps ya

Heya !!!!
inert gas :- these are element which does not react with any other element.
▶ they does not show any chemical reaction in nature.
▶ they are present in 18 group of periodic table.
▶ they does not react because they are electronic configuration of octet is fulfilled.
▶ there are stable in nature so they does not show any chemical reaction in nature.
▶ following are the example of inert gases :-
▶ helium ( He )
▶ Argon ( Ar)
▶ Redon
▶. xenon
▶ krepton
▶ Neon .
hope it helps you dear !!!
thanks !!!
