Inertia is the resistance of any physical object to any change inits state of motion
the types are
Inertia of rest: the inability of the body to change its state of motion from rest
inertia of motion : the inability of the body to change its state of motion from uniform motion
Inertia of direction :: The inability of a body to change by itself its direction of motion.

Inertia is the property of an object to remain at constant velocity unless acted upon by an outside force. The principle of inertia is one of the fundamental principles of classical physics which are used to describe the motion of matter and how it is affected by applied forces
There are three types inertia:
!)Inertia of rest: it is the ability of a body to resist any change in the state of rest
Example:When a bus starts to move .. we are pushed backwards
!!)Inertia of motion:It is the ability of a body to resist any change in the state of motion
Example:When a moving bus stops we fall forward
!!!)Inertia of direction:It is the ability of a body to resist any change in the state of direction
Example: When a bus suddenly takes turn we fall to the opposite side

Hope it helps
