Hello mate.

Inertia is a property of matter by which it continues in its existing state of rest or uniform motion in a straight line, unless that state is changed by an external force.

first law, also called the law of inertia, states that, unless acted upon by an external force, an object at rest remains at rest, or if in motion, it continues to move in a straight line with constant speed. Uniform motion therefore does not require a cause.

hope it helps you

Answer:

Inertia is the inherent property of a body to resist the change in its natural state of rest or motion .

There are three types of inertia :

Inertia of motion

Inertia of direction

Inertia of rest

Inertia of motion :

The  inherent property of a body to resist the change in its natural state of

motion is inertia of motion .

Ex : When the bus suddenly comes to a halt , we tend to fall forward . This

is due to inertia of motion .

Inertia of rest :

The  inherent property of a body to resist the change in its natural state of

rest is called as inertia of rest .

Ex : When a bus suddenly comes into motion , we tend to fall backward .

This is due to inertia of rest .

Inertia of direction :

The inherent property of a body to resist the change in its current direction

of motion .

Ex : When a bus suddenly takes a turn , we tend to move in the outward

direction . This is due to inertia of direction .

Hope it helped and please mark as brainliest:)
