Inertia => The resistance of a body in its state of motion or rest is called inertia. Thus, under this body remains in its state of linear motion or rest unit and unless an external force is applied.

Types of Inertia =>

1. Inertia of Rest : When an object is at rest and body suddenly starts moving like in case of bus which was at rest and started moving, then our body lean backwards because our legs come in motion with bus while upper part remain at rest. Thus, resistance of upper part of not moving is inertia of rest.

2. Inertia of motion : When moving bus suddenly stops then we lean forward because our leg came into rest with bus but not our upper part of bidbody. Thus, resistance of uper part of not coming at rest is resistance of motion.

3. Inertia of directions : While driving when the car or bus turns swiftly then we all lean opposite to the direction of motion. This is because our uoper part remains in that direction while lower part move with bus. Thus, this resistance is called inertia of direction.
