When an object has been in motion for a long time and suddenly comes to a stop, we tend to feel that the object is still in motion. This is called inertia.
Eg: When a train has been in motion for a long time and suddenly comes to a stop, we feel that the train is still in motion. (This only happens if you are sitting in the train)
