Answer:

Inertia resists change in motion. Objects want to stay in rest or motion unless an outside force causes a change. For example, if you roll a ball, it will continue rolling unless friction or something else stops it by force.

Answer:

inertia

Explanation:

It is the tendency of an object to resist change.

If for example, an object is in rest or in motion, we will firstly have to apply force on it in order to overcome its inertia to change its state of rest or motion.

it is of two types:

inertia of rest and inertia of motion

If we shake a branch of a tree the leaves fall down. This is because the branch comes in motion but the leaves do not and hence fall down due to inertia of rest.

Hope this helps!
