The mode of arrangement of flowers on the axis of the plant is termed as inflorescence. It may also be defined as how the flowers are arranged on the axis of the plant.
The flowers of different plants grow in several different ways or modes.
• They may grow at the terminal apex of the lateral branches.
• They may grow in the axils of the leaves.
• They may grow out of from the axils of different leaves and reach the same level, hence making a structure similar to cluster.

Answer:
The arrangement of flowers on the floral axis is called inflorescence.
More Explanation:
A flower is a modified shoot wherein the shoot apical meristem changes to floral meristem. Depending on whether the apex gets developed into a flower or continues to grow, two major types of inflorescence are defined; racemose & cymose.
Racemose: in this, the main axis continues to grow, the flowers are borne laterally in acropetal succession.
Cymose: in this, the main axis terminates in a flower, hence limited in growth.
