Innate immunity is a type of immunity that is present from birth and can't be acquired during life time. They alert us of foreign invasion like secretion of tears in eyes.
Some barriers of innate immune system are:-
eyelashes, tears, skin(when foreign particle invades, skin alerts body by releasing of blood into empty spaces in skin which causes red rashes on skin),cilia in nasopharyngeal tracts, etc.

Innate immunity is comprised of different components including physical barriers (tight junctions in the skin, epithelial and mucous membrane surfaces, mucus itself); anatomical barriers; epithelial and phagocytic cell enzymes (i.e., lysozyme), phagocytes (i.e., neutrophils, monocytes, macrophages), inflammation.
