What is integration used for?Is it too much important in physics?

Integration is used for various kind of operations like in calculating the velocity if acceleration is given to calculate the distance if velocity is given  to calculate area under the curve ,to calculate the work done if a variable force and displacement is given,to solve the differential equations...we use integration.
