An intensive property is a property of matter that does not change as the amount of matter changes. It is a bulk property, which means it is a physical property that is not dependent on the size or mass of a sample. examples of intensive properties are color, boiling point, pressure, molecular weight and density. Density is an interesting example. Remember that density is mass divided by volume. As you just learned, both mass and volume are extensive properties, or dependent on the amount of matter.

hope this helps u
