1).Intercalary meristem is located at internodes or stem regions between the places at which leaves attach, and at leaf bases, especially of certain monocotyledons.

2).The lateral meristem is one of two meristems in which growth occurs in order to increase stem girth. A meristem is the region of plant found on the tips of the roots and shoots.
