HERE IS YOUR ANSWER

Internal memory is usually chips or modules that you attach directly to the motherboard. Internal ROM is a circular disc that continuously rotates as the computer accesses its data. External memory often comes in the form of USB flash drives; CD, DVD, and other optical discs; and portablehard drives.

There are two types of storage devices which we use in the modern computers.

1) Internal memory: These storgae devices are directly connected with the motherboard, inside the CPU cabinet.

Example: RAM, Hard Disk.

2) External memory : These storage devices can be connected with the external ports of the CPU cabinet.

Example: CD,DVD,Pen Drive etc.
