international date line is specific line that passes through mid pacific ocean. and roughly follows a 180 degrees longitude. it is located half way the world- the zero degree longitude established in greenwich ,england, in 1850

The 180' longitude is also known as international date line.On crossing this line a person loses or gains one day . So it can cause much confusion of having different dates in same country.So it is made zig zag at bering strait between siberia and alaska and at Fiji, Tonga, Newcastle Zealand and some other islands
